Daylight Application

A daylight application is security film applied to the interior side of the glass and trimmed around the edges. The film will retain the glass and will help in slowing down a break in. However, on tempered glass the window is designed to break away from the edge and the film will hold the glass together, but not in the frame. The glass could fall out in one piece. This offers minimum protection.

Options

Applying security film to your glass and creating a bond from the glass and film to the window frame is a highly regarded security measure in retrofitting the existing glass area in your business or storefront. The use of Dow Corning 995 silicone structural glazing sealant is by far the preferred anchoring method to ensure a more complete bond under a variety of anchoring applications.
